About afytos

Afytos is a traditional settlement in the Municipality of Kassandra in the region of Chalkidiki. Built on a rock like a castle above the sea, the visitor feels as if they are on an Aegean island. Afytos retains unchanged its traditional elements, with the old houses constructed from local stone that have been restored. Also noteworthy are the stone-paved streets adorned with folk art items and the church of Agios Dimitrios, which has stood imposingly on the central square since 1800.
